Arla
Arla is the world’s largest organic dairy producer. In Denmark, many products are delivered from the farm to the shop within 24 hours, making an efficient logistics operation essential. To improve efficiency and create a better working environment for the pickers, Arla implemented Lowpad automation into its case-picking process. The result is a more streamlined operation, better use of space, and greater access to operational data.

Challenge
How to improve efficiency and working conditions in a space-constrained operation?
Before implementing Lowpad, Arla faced two key challenges: efficiency and the working environment. Operators spent a significant amount of time walking empty-handed and manually pushing and pulling heavyweight roller cages. At the same time, strict space constraints required a solution to improve operations within the available space.
Solution
Automated case-picking solution
Lowpad provided Arla with a solution that fit within the limited space and supports a more efficient picking process. Operators now work in fixed zones while Lowpads transport the heavy roll cages carrying produce through the warehouse.
The solution is easy to use and gives Arla access to more operational data, helping the team analyse picking efficiency and identify opportunities for further improvement.
The reason we went with Lowpad is that they could offer us a solution where we could utilise our space better.
